Before understanding stainless steel sinks, first recognize the material of stainless steel; The common ones in daily life are 201 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel; The difference between the two is very significant. 201 is prone to rusting, and for sinks that come into long-term contact with food, it can harm health; 304 stainless steel can reach food grade, so it will not harm health; Rusting is not the only difference, and 304 stainless steel can also rust, which is closely related to usage;

Generally, any stainless steel product will have a label on the top, but this can also be easily labeled, so the general judgment is based on the price. However, some say that it can be judged by medicine, which is not necessary. You don't need to waste the money of medicine by buying a one or two hundred sink, it cannot be 304 stainless steel.

There are many treatment processes for the surface of stainless steel, but the best one for general sinks is the wire drawing process, which is a matte surface. In the later stage, you can freely use iron wire balls to wipe it, and there is no need to worry about the surface becoming uneven. It can be polished infinitely.

The difference between handmade stainless steel sink and Pressed Drawn Sink

There are two main differences between Handmade sink and Pressed Drawn Sink

3219 (4)

1、Stainless Steel Plate. Handmade sinks often use 304 stainless steel with a thickness of 1.2mm or more, while Pressed Drawn stainless steel sinks generally use relatively low-grade stainless steel plates with a thickness of 0.8mm or less.

As the name suggests, handmade sink is a sink made by hand welding, which is then bent and welded through steel plates; The thickness can reach about 3mm, and the weight is heavier than the Pressed Drawn Sink. Its firmness and appearance are stronger than Pressed Drawn Sink.

2、 Production Process. Handmade stainless steel is mainly laser welded, and the thickness at the interface is generally average. However, the stretching water tank is stamped with a mold, so the thickness of the water tank may be uneven and the corners may be thin~

As the name suggests, the Pressed Drawn Sink is produced by hydraulic machines with a thickness generally less than 1mm, so all Pressed Drawn Sink will have a flange, otherwise it is too thin and has a blade like edge around it, which is too dangerous; The thickness and weight are relatively light, but the price is cheap
